About Me

Hutchfolk Media is an enthusiastic one woman band.  I offer creative flexible options for videography and editing at an unbeatable price.  From community films to promotional videos, documentaries, online or cinema advertising to editing your own personal footage, I love working with film and sound, and I'm willing to have a go at anything.

I've lived in Abergynolwyn for 25 years, been a mother to three children here, and been involved in a love affair with this beautiful land since I first glimpsed the Tal y Llyn lake, nestled between the mountains.

When my children grew up I escaped from my catering job and took a degree in Film & Television at Aberystwyth University, and never looked back.

Through involvement with local environmental group Greener Tywyn Gwyrdd and The Magic Lantern Cinema, I am proud to make films which reflect a desire to encourage positive environmental change, and inspire conversation, celebration and fun within our communities.

My role as videographer with the Talyllyn Railway enables me to make promotional films about this important and historic narrow-gauge steam railway, set in the beautiful Welsh countryside.

I believe the ancient language and cultural heritage of Wales is woven into the landscape and it has provided inspiration for my film making.   As a Welsh learner I have won several awards for Welsh language films.
